What is the Upstreet environment like?
Large Group – (30 minutes)
Large group is designed to engage children in worship within a large-group setting. Music, prayer, and a creative, innovative approach to the Bible story with an emphasis on relevance.
Small Group – (30 minutes)
This is application time. Students are placed in small, age-appropriate groups designed to help them understand how the topic applies to them . . . relevance! The curriculum is designed to address the different learning styles of students through a variety of activities.

Take any of the stairwells downstairs below the auditorium to enter Upstreet.
What curriculum is used?
“252Basics” is a unique approach to curriculum. It is built around three Basic Truths every child should embrace according to what Jesus modeled in Luke 2:52.
1. I need to make the wise choice.
2. I can trust God no matter what.
3. I should treat others the way I want to be treated.
Each Basic Truth is amplified by a weekly key concept and systematically taught over a three-year track. The curriculum includes 150 Bible Stories and is based on a Core Virtue and Memory Verse as the framework for each month.

What is Jump Start?
A unique 30 – minute presentation where parents and kids learn what it means to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be part of “The Big Story.” Jump Start is a one time class designed to give parents the tools necessary to have a meaningful dialogue with their kids about how to begin their spiritual journey.
WHO IS IT FOR?
Children (K-5th grade) and their parents. We strongly encourage that every child baptized at 4th Avenue attend a JUMP START presentation.
WHEN IS IT?
Jump Start is from 12:30 – 1:00PM, Sunday, July 27, in UpStreet (located directly below the church auditorium.)
WHAT IS THE PROCESS FOR BAPTISM?
• attend JUMP START
• mail in completed JUMP START form
• meet personally with staff or trained volunteer (child and parent)
• GET BAPTIZED! At the family birthday celebration.
