What is Waumba Land?
“Waumba” is the Swahilian word for “Creator.” It’s here in the preschool area where our kids will learn of the creation story. To take a closer look at the curriculum, please log on to www.myfirstlook.org.

God LOVES me. God MADE me. Jesus wants to be my FRIEND forever.
Where?
Age-appropriate rooms located on the lower level.
Security?
Children are assigned a security number when they check into their rooms. The parent is given a matching number. When the parent arrives to pick up the child, the numbers are matched before the child is released.
Points To Success In Waumba Land . . .
1. Teaching key Bible truths through repetition and creativity.
- Helping a child master concepts rather than exposing them to as many different Bible stories as possible.
- Creatively engaging the child’s response in the learning process.
- Provide a consistent schedule when teaching young children.
- Teaching children that the Bible is true and full of many important things that God wants them to know.

2. Establish a foundational understand of who God is.
- Help young children to see God as their creator and friend.
- Encourage preschoolers to worship God for all that He has done.
- Emphasize God’s desire for a loving relationship with every child.
