Visiting Fourth Church?
Whether you are curious or seriously seeking a “church home,” you are very much welcome at Fourth Avenue Church. The steps below help you know what to expect on Sundays, but there are plenty of weekday programs if you want to visit then.
Steps to Visiting on Sunday
1. Welcome to Class and Worship Service
Classes meet at 9:15 a.m. and worship is at 10:30 a.m., with some exceptions on special holidays. On your first visit, it’s best to arrive about 15 to 20 minutes early. Programs for children coincide with the 9:15 class time and the 10:30 a.m. worship service. Classes for youth and adults meet at 9:15 a.m.
2. Arrive and Get Parked
We are a single-campus church with one location. Don’t hesitate to ask for help from our parking team (the ones wearing bright orange vests). They’ll help you navigate the lots, which get crowded before the 10:30 a.m. service. Arriving 15 minutes before the service starts will make things easier. We also have visitors’ parking to ensure you have an easy time finding parking.
3. Find a Place for Yourself and Your Kids
Welcome center volunteers are ready to answer your questions before, between, and after class and worship service. Just look for them behind the counter in the main lobby. They can help you choose a class that’s right for you. If you have young children or teens, they can help you find out about classes and locations.
4. Celebrate Through Worship
Greeters will welcome you into the worship center and give you a program outlining the service. Toward the beginning of the service, everyone is invited to stand and greet one another with hugs and handshakes. You will not be singled out as a visitor. Biblical teaching, a blend of musical styles, prayer, giving, and communion are key components of worship at Fourth Avenue Church.
5. Let Us Help You
If you would like to talk about a personal concern or something you heard in the service, look for someone with a Fourth Avenue badge. These men and women have been trained to listen and encourage, and they are eager to help. They also can pray with you in the Prayer Room or during our Family Prayer time.
